We are Louise Barton + Elisha Wildblood. We’re two Sydney based mamas with a total of seven children between us! We know first hand how huge the adjustment to motherhood is, whether it’s your first time or you’re adding one to the crew – it’s a lot.
We created Not Another Onesie to make it easier for you to get all the support you need. We understand that it’s support you need and not more stuff. Our carefully curated village of mother-focused care professionals are here to help you to heal, recover, adjust and thrive as you navigate the beautiful chaos of motherhood.
Honestly, we believe it’s well and truly time to recognise the importance of mothers being fully supported in the sacred time of early postpartum and beyond.
No need to do this all alone. Let’s journey through motherhood together…. Because motherhood matters.

Elisha Wildblood
Mama to: Four brilliant, noisy, chaotic and super-busy kids/tweens/teens spanning from primary to highschool.
Favourite thing about motherhood: So many things but if I had to choose I’d probably say – watching them slowly grow into their beautiful, individual selves and to witness their blossoming from one phase of development to the next, through all the highs and lows. Also the hilarious conversations!
Something you wish you knew early postpartum: That my physical healing and recovery and my emotional wellbeing mattered as much as my baby’s. I recall the focus was so strongly on my baby in those early months that I completely forgot about my own needs. This led to everything feeling so much harder down the track.
Biggest challenge about mothering: So many to choose from here too. The delicate balance of loving them so deeply that I want to protect them from everything while also wanting to give them room to learn and grow from their own mistakes. I also find the chaos of being pulled in so many directions at once, along with all the noise and constant demands (also known as the invisible motherload) really overwhelming at times.
Best advice you were ever given: This too shall pass …
What do you believe are three Postpartum Essentials?
1 – Nourishing foods that help heal the body and restore energy.
2 – Deep restorative rest ( in order to counterbalance the sleep deprivation)
3 – Emotional Support – someone to talk to that you can be completely honest with about whatever is happening. This is so important in reducing a sense of isolation and loneliness.

Louise Barton
Mama to: Two girls and a boy. Equal parts of adorable, challenging, fabulous and chaotic! All three so very different to each other in so many ways!
Favourite thing about motherhood: The single biggest and best achievement of my life, bar none! The constant evolution of challenges – no two days are ever the same. You literally never know what is around the corner and I love watching three little humans grow and bloom before my eyes!
Something you wish you knew early postpartum: That it is ok to ask for help. You don’t have to be a super mama. And rest is king. Nothing matters other than being in the moment and taking each day as it comes.
Biggest challenge about mothering: The initial monumental shift into a totally different version of yourself. Also, the challenge of learning to accept the chaos of motherhood and the joy you find when you learn to embrace it.
Best advice you were ever given: Just focus on each day and do whatever feels right for you and your baby. There are no right answers.
What do you believe are three Postpartum Essentials?
Gratitude, rest and kindness from the people around you and to yourself.
