Hi, I’m Joanna, the photographer behind Moments In Bloom Photography, and a mum myself.

I photograph families from bump to baby and beyond — from maternity and those first newborn days, through baby milestones, first birthday cake smashes and family sessions as your little people grow.

I know having photographs taken can easily become another thing on the very long list of things mums feel they need to organise and get right. I don’t want it to feel that way.

Especially in those early newborn weeks, you’re welcome to come exactly as you are. You don’t need a baby who sleeps on cue, a toddler who behaves perfectly or a family who knows what to do in front of the camera. Feed your baby when they need feeding, stop for cuddles, have a coffee and take your time. I’ll gently guide you through the rest.

My style is warm, earthy and timeless. I love beautiful, cosy newborns curled up in baskets and little beds, soft natural textures, layered textiles and warm earthy colours. But just as important to me are the moments between all of that — your baby tucked into your chest, the way your toddler reaches for you, tiny fingers around yours and all those little expressions that are so completely them.

And I’d love to see you again as they grow.

From your beautiful round bump, to your tiny curled-up newborn, to the chubby baby sitting up on their own, and eventually the one-year-old enthusiastically demolishing their birthday cake — I can capture the whole journey.

My studio is a calm, welcoming space where there’s no pressure to perform or make everything perfect. I want you to be able to settle in, enjoy your family and let me take care of the photographs.

Because these little chapters change so quickly — and you deserve to be in the memories, too.
