We know that there is so much information out there around pregnancy, birth and postpartum. It can be hard to know where to even start!
That’s why we have created two introductory sessions designed to give you a level of knowledge about what to expect, so you can start to create your support team, make choices that feel good and to prepare in the way that feels good to you.
Description
‘I’m Pregnant, Now What?’ is a gentle starting place for pregnancy, care options and next steps.
This 90-minute session is for anyone who is pregnant and unsure where to begin. Pregnancy can quickly bring a flood of information, appointments, options and decisions.
You may be wondering who to book in with, what kind of care is available, what tests you might be offered, or how to begin preparing for birth when everything still feels new.
Moving Through Birth is a grounded introduction to labour, birth and support.
This 90-minute session is for anyone wanting to begin understanding what actually happens during labour and birth, and how you can be supported through it. Together, we explore the basic flow of labour, the role of hormones and the nervous system, what may happen physically and emotionally, and how support people can help create a sense of safety, comfort and steadiness.
This session offers a clear and accessible introduction to birth physiology, support roles, practical comfort measures and the kinds of preparation that may help you feel more confident as birth approaches.
It is not a full birth education course, but it is a beautiful first step for those wanting to begin making sense of labour, birth and what kind of support may feel right for them.
