About Ready to Rise

Hi, I’m Kelsey, founder of **Ready to Rise** and a Mental Health Occupational Therapist with over a decade of experience supporting women through some of life’s most significant transitions. Throughout my career I’ve worked across public and private mental health services, including specialist perinatal mental health settings, and have completed postgraduate training in Perinatal Mental Health. These experiences have shaped my passion for supporting women through pregnancy, early parenthood and the emotional and practical changes that come with becoming a mother.

I created Ready to Rise because I believe every mother deserves access to compassionate, evidence-based support that acknowledges the realities of modern motherhood. Becoming a parent is one of the biggest occupational transitions we experience. It can bring immense joy, but it can also challenge your confidence, identity, relationships, routines and mental wellbeing. You don’t have to navigate those changes alone.

I offer therapy for women during pregnancy and the postpartum period, helping you manage the emotional, cognitive and practical demands of everyday life. Together we’ll explore what’s getting in the way of feeling like yourself, develop strategies that genuinely fit your family, and build routines that support both you and your baby. My approach is warm, collaborative and grounded in the understanding that there is no single “right” way to parent.

I support women experiencing anxiety, depression, birth trauma, adjustment to parenthood, identity changes, overwhelm, emotional regulation difficulties and the invisible mental load that so many mothers carry. I also work alongside women navigating fertility challenges, pregnancy after loss, and complex pregnancies or births, providing a safe space to process these experiences while supporting their day-to-day functioning.

Appointments are available via tele-health across Victoria, as well as in-person in Melbourne, making support accessible wherever you are. I understand that life with a baby is rarely predictable, so I strive to create a service that is flexible, welcoming and realistic for families.

Whether you’re preparing for your baby’s arrival, finding your feet as a new mum, or simply feeling that things are harder than you expected, my hope is that you’ll leave each session feeling understood, more confident in yourself, and with practical strategies that help life feel just that little bit more manageable.
