Liana is not just a midwife; she is a compassionate guide with over two decades of experience accompanying families through the profound phases of infertility, pregnancy, birth, and the challenging early weeks of parenthood. Her dedication is rooted in an empathy for families navigating the path to parenthood.
Liana’s own journey to parenthood was marked by its own trials, including fertility treatments such as IUI and IVF, the loss of her first child, the complexities of a high risk subsequent pregnancies and parenting after loss. These personal challenges have given her a unique perspective and deep empathy for the struggles her clients face and are the reason and inspiration for creating Day Dot Midwifery and Support.
Known for her gentle demeanour and ability to navigate through emotional turbulence, Liana creates a safe space where families feel understood and supported. Her approach resonates profoundly with those she assists, as she helps them navigate the often uncomfortable and overwhelming emotions that accompany these journeys.
Through Day Dot, and drawing from 20 years of experience, Liana offers support in areas of:
- Infertility/navigating the fertility system/IUI/IVF support
- Miscarriage support/stillbirth/neonatal loss support
- Pregnancy support including antenatal appointments/pregnancy after loss
- In-home postnatal support (including bereaved family home visiting)
- One-on-one antenatal education (particularly for previous traumatic birth or loss)
- TFMR support including navigating decision making and preparation for birth
- Birth debriefing and birth trauma debriefing
