About Raising Fathers
Raising Fathers supports men through one of the most significant transitions in life: becoming a father. It does so through courses, community, and mentoring.
Founded by Jason Seeman, a father, facilitator, and mentor with a background in social-emotional education, Raising Fathers exists to help men step into fatherhood with confidence, clarity and care. Jason’s work is grounded in the understanding that when fathers are supported to show up well, the impact is felt not only by children, but deeply by mothers and the family system as a whole.
The focus of Raising Fathers is on helping men navigate pregnancy, birth, and early parenthood, particularly in how they support mothers through matrescence, the profound physical, emotional, and identity shift that comes with becoming a mum. When fathers understand this transition and feel equipped to meet it, it can meaningfully ease the load on mothers and strengthen the partnership during a time of significant change.
Raising Fathers offers a range of support including 1:1 mentoring, small group programs for dads and dads-to-be, and community-based Fathers groups.
Across these spaces, Jason helps men develop both practical skills, such as supporting during labour, navigating the early weeks with a newborn, and sharing the mental and physical load at home, and the emotional capacity to stay grounded, communicate openly, and remain connected to their partner.
At its core, Raising Fathers exists because when men fully how up, families thrive.
