About Kelly Suggate Nutritionist
Kelly Suggate | Clinical Nutritionist — Women’s & Children’s Health
Hi, I’m Kelly, a Certified Practicing Nutritionist, mum of two under six, and someone who has sat exactly where you might be right now: exhausted, overwhelmed, and Googling at 2am only to end up more confused than when you started.
I have a passion for women’s and children’s nutrition, with a particular focus on the first 1,000 days, the period of time from preconception all the way through to your baby’s second birthday. This window is one of the most powerful opportunities we have to shape a child’s long-term health. And here’s the part that often surprises people: your health is the foundation it’s all built on.
After becoming a mum myself, I experienced significant postpartum depletion, hair loss, exhaustion, dizziness, anxiety, despite having a nutrition background. It was a turning point. I realised that mothers are so focused on nourishing their babies that they’re quietly running on empty themselves. I left a corporate marketing career to do something about that.
My approach is practical, evidence-based, and completely shame-free. No fad diets, no overwhelming supplement stacks, no one-size-fits-all plans. Whether you’re preparing your body for pregnancy, growing a baby, recovering postpartum, navigating starting solids, or sitting across from a toddler who has decided yesterday’s favourite food is now the enemy, I’m here for all of it.
I offer personalised 1:1 consultations online (from anywhere in Australia). I also run workshops for mothers’ groups and community organisations, covering everything from postpartum nutrition to fussy eating.
Nutrition that doesn’t fit into your real life isn’t nutrition, it’s just stress with extra steps. I’d love to support you to build something that actually works for you and your family.
