About Mothers Milk Bank Charity
I am proud to support and advocate for Mothers Milk Bank Charity, a private charity dedicated to providing life-saving Pasteurised Donated Human Milk (PDHM) to babies who need it most. Mothers Milk Bank exists to ensure that vulnerable infants — particularly premature and medically fragile babies — have access to safe, screened donor human milk when their own mother’s milk is not available or sufficient.
Human milk is uniquely designed to nourish and protect babies. For many infants in neonatal intensive care units, donated breast milk can significantly improve health outcomes and reduce the risk of serious complications. Mothers Milk Bank works to collect, screen, pasteurise, and distribute donor milk so that hospitals and families can access this vital resource safely.
As part of this work, I help educate and guide both potential donor mums and families seeking donor milk. Many mothers produce more milk than their own baby needs, and by donating their excess milk they can make a profound difference in the lives of other babies and families. Mothers who wish to donate complete a simple donor process which includes a blood test to ensure the safety and quality of the milk supply.
For families who require donor milk, Mothers Milk Bank provides access to carefully processed PDHM that meets strict safety standards. Every donation is handled with great care to ensure it remains safe and beneficial for the babies who receive it.
My role is to help make the process easier to understand for mums and families. Whether you are considering becoming a donor, have questions about how the milk bank works, or are seeking donor milk for your baby, I can help guide you through the steps and connect you with the right information.
Supporting Mothers Milk Bank means supporting a community of mums helping mums. Each donation has the potential to nourish and protect vulnerable babies, offering families hope during challenging times. It is a privilege to be part of a charity dedicated to giving babies the best possible start in life through the power of human milk.
