About New Season Doula Care
Hi, I’m Sam – Birth & postpartum doula and childbirth educator providing in-person support to new and expecting families.
It was my own experiences with pregnancy, birth and postpartum that stirred in me a deep passion for supporting families on all stages through this journey. As a birth doula, I walk with you as you get ready for the birth of your baby, helping you to feel supported and empowered to make informed decisions and prepare for a calm and peaceful birth, including full support during labour at home or in hospital
As a postpartum doula, I hold deep respect for new mothers and the sacred journey that is Matrescence. I provide nurturing care to replenish and nourish the new mother as she recovers from childbirth and transitions into life with her new baby. My postpartum services include freshly cooked meals, breastfeeding support and newborn care. I help new mums, dads and families as they prepare for and adjust to life with a newborn by providing informational, physical and emotional care – taking the load off, so that the beautiful chaos of postpartum can be a smooth and fulfilling experience.
I understand that each family is unique and has different needs, so my services are designed to be flexible and to support families wherever they’re at, in the best way that will enrich their postpartum journey.

Nesting Space
Nesting Space is a dedicated private mental health occupational therapy practice specialising in perinatal services. We are committed to nurturing and supporting the mental well-being of birthing parents and enriching the lives of their families throughout pregnancy, childbirth, and the early stages of parenthood.
Hi I’m Juliette, I’m a mum and with nearly a decade of experience as a Mental Health Occupational Therapist, I am deeply passionate about my work. I have firsthand experience with the challenges of navigating mental health struggles during pregnancy and the postnatal period. Having personally faced the isolation of postnatal anxiety, rage, and depression following a traumatic birth, I understand the profound impact that seeking help early can have. This realisation inspired me to establish Nesting Space, as I recognized the vital role an Occupational Therapist can play in supporting women and their families during the antenatal and postnatal periods.
Becoming a mother was a transformative experience for me—physically, psychologically, emotionally, socially, and spiritually. The discovery of matrescence, the transition into motherhood, solidified my calling to this field. I deeply understand the ambivalence that can accompany motherhood and the neurocognitive changes that occur after pregnancy and birth.

Shared care with private obstetricians across two clinics in Brisbane
Support as part of your care team alongside GPs or hospital clinics
Birth Mapping appointments – helping you explore your preferences and decision points along the way

Postnatal in-home care packages – servicing inner north Brisbane and surrounds
Baby Massage education – 1:1 sessions or private small groups for three or more friends
Closing the Bones Ceremony – a deeply nurturing postpartum ritual rooted in traditional cultural practices, used to honour and support the profound transition into motherhood
In addition, Lauren offers ‘Mothering the Midwife’ Retreats, designed to support the wellbeing of those who hold this professional responsibility. These one-day retreats are created for nurses and midwives to reset their nervous systems, reconnect with themselves, and maintain balance to help prevent compassion fatigue and burnout.
