About Midwife Suzi

Suzanne is a registered midwife and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) with two decades of healthcare experience supporting women and families through pregnancy, birth, and early parenting. She has worked in healthcare since 2006, qualified as a Registered Nurse in 2010, and has practised as a midwife since 2012, having become an IBCLC in 2017.

Suzanne’s approach to midwifery is grounded in the belief that every woman deserves personalised, evidence-based care and a genuine, trusting relationship with her care provider. She brings a broad clinical foundation together with a deep understanding of the physical and emotional realities of pregnancy, birth, and postpartum recovery, and her training as a lactation consultant means she supports families well beyond the birth itself.

Suzanne sees clients both in the comfort of their own homes and from her own clinic, offering antenatal and postnatal care, giving families the flexibility to choose the setting that suits them best. Suzanne is a dedicated lifelong learner, holding a wide range of additional qualifications that broaden the support she can offer. She holds a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and works as an accredited adult educator, teaching pregnancy and postpartum care classes as well as breastfeeding education. She is trained in hypnobirthing, holds a certification in LLL for healing, and has completed further study in acu-needling for pregnancy, therapeutic ultrasound, and infant and baby massage. She is also NDC sleep accredited, giving families well-rounded, evidence-based support across birth, feeding, sleep, and healing.

What sets Suzanne apart is her commitment to walking alongside her clients rather than simply attending to them. She takes the time to understand each family’s goals and concerns, and tailors her care accordingly — whether helping a first-time mother navigate labour, supporting a more complex pregnancy, or troubleshooting breastfeeding difficulties. Her clients often describe her care as calm, thorough, and reassuring, with the kind of continuity that builds real confidence through pregnancy and beyond.

Beyond her clinical work, Suzanne is a mother of three and grandmother of two, bringing the same lived experience of pregnancy, birth, and family life to her care as she does her professional expertise. With more than 14 years of midwifery practice and specialist lactation expertise, she offers families a trusted, experienced hand through one of life’s most significant transitions — from pregnancy through to those early, tender months of feeding and bonding with a new baby.
