Hi my name is Janine. I’ve been so lucky to work with many mums, dads, babies and their families over the past 30 years as a registered nurse specialising in obstetrics and as a trained mentor, birth and postpartum doula, educator and mum of 3.  I’m truly passionate about supporting families as they grow and transition into their wonderful fourth trimester and settle into life as parents and as a new family.  It’s a joy to see parents grow in confidence and enjoy this precious time surrounded by love, nourishment, nurturing care, practical help, and a kind guiding hand to support them. Caring for the new and healing mum is so important as she is able to rest and get to know her little one.

It’s a privilege to be part of this wonderful journey with them all.

As a midwife, I offer evidence-based birth classes and private midwife support that go beyond information — I listen deeply, nurture gently, and walk alongside you with compassion. Whether you’re preparing for birth, facing sleepless nights, feeding challenges, or simply the huge shift of identity that comes with motherhood, I’m here to support the whole you. My goal is to help you feel confident, well-informed, and never alone on this journey.

I am an IBCLC, Registered Paediatric and Neonatal Nurse and Mum of two girls.

I have a passion for holistic lactation support, meeting families right where they are in their feeding journey, acknowledging and embracing individual needs and goals for navigating feeding, both short and long term.

I love working one-on-one, and I usually conduct home visits to bring support right to your door. As well as my private practice, I still work part-time in NICU, supporting families in the very earliest, vulnerable and precious days after birth, which is such a privileged job that I truly adore.

My approach is always to listen, to bring kindness as well as experience to your situation, along with a big dose of cheerleading!
