Fourth Trimester Friend
In Home Support

Fourth Trimester Friend

Fourth Trimester Friend was created to support parents during one of the most raw and vulnerable seasons of life — the early weeks after bringing a baby home.

I’m Tatiana: a mum of two, Paediatric Nurse Practitioner, and NICU nurse with extensive experience caring for newborns and families. After years working in neonatal intensive care units in the U.S. and Australia, I noticed something simple but important: most parents have very little hands-on experience caring for a newborn before they have their own. Once families are home, they’re suddenly expected to know what’s normal, how to feed and settle their baby, and when to worry. Fourth Trimester Friend exists to bring that experience into the home during those early weeks.

I provide calm, clinically informed in-home and virtual support to new parents during the fourth trimester. Much of my work involves sitting with families in their own space, troubleshooting in real time, helping make sense of feeding and sleep concerns, and offering reassurance when things feel overwhelming. My approach is practical, steady, and non-judgmental.

Support may include newborn assessments, weight and feeding checks, breastfeeding and bottle-feeding support, settling and sleep guidance, and parental education. I also work closely with families transitioning home after a NICU stay, offering continuity and support during what can be a particularly emotional adjustment.

As a Nurse Practitioner, I bring advanced clinical training and the ability to assess concerns, provide guidance, and escalate or refer when needed. I work collaboratively with midwives, GPs, paediatricians, and allied health providers so families feel supported within the broader care system.

Above all, my goal is simple: to help parents feel calmer, more supported, and more confident as they settle into life with their new baby. Early parenthood can feel isolating and intense, but having an experienced clinician available (in-home or virtually) can make those early weeks feel far more manageable.

Sage Nest
Physical Recovery

Sage Nest

I’m Joanna, a mother of two and the founder of Sage Nest—a boutique wellness practice based in Newcastle, NSW. My work focuses on supporting women through the transformative stages of pregnancy, birth preparation, and postpartum recovery with care that is both holistic and deeply nurturing.

I’ve been in clinical practice since 2004 and bring together a unique blend of therapies to support the health and wellbeing of mothers and their families. My approach is integrative and evidence-informed, combining Acupuncture, Chinese Medicine, Naturopathy, Massage Therapy, Nutrition, Herbal Medicine, and the Body Ready Method® to offer well-rounded care tailored to each individual.

At the Sage Nest, I provide support that spans the entire motherhood journey—from managing early pregnancy symptoms and preparing for an empowered birth, to gentle, restorative care in the fourth trimester and beyond. Each session is personalised to address not just the physical, but also the emotional and energetic shifts that come with matrescence.

Birth preparation is a particular focus of my work. I help women feel physically aligned, emotionally grounded, and mentally ready for labour and birth. My sessions may include acupuncture, bodywork, breath techniques, acupressure, body alignment and partner-inclusive education to build confidence and reduce fear. Whether you’re planning your first birth or looking for support after a previous experience, I create a space where you feel informed, prepared, and supported.

For new mothers needing extra support, I also offer postpartum home visits across the Newcastle region. These sessions bring hands-on care, comfort, and therapeutic treatments to your doorstep during a time when leaving the house can feel overwhelming. It’s a beautiful way to receive nurturing support in your own familiar space while you rest and recover.

I love helping women feel more confident in themselves and their mothering. It’s a privilege to witness mothers reach their goals, feel more at ease, and reconnect with themselves during this powerful life transition. It’s an honour to support that process.

Danielle Brooker, Joy Activation Coach

Danielle Brooker is a Mama, Joy Activation Coach, writer, avid self-help reader, lover of travel, adventure and exceptional coffee. Through her private coaching programs, digital courses, Mama Joy Summit, writing and podcast, Danielle teaches ambitious, busy and always-on Mamas ‘in the thick of it’ to move from the mess to the magic of this season of life.

Her signature program BEYOND focuses on the ‘forgotten season’ of motherhood, teaching Mamas to put core foundations in place to support their thriving well beyond the traditional ‘postpartum’ period. Danielle works intuitively, blending a foundation in human behaviour, neuroplasticity-based coaching and strategy, with somatic principles, emotional context work and soul practices. She shares, “I moved across the world to a new city, 6 months pregnant, in the middle of a global pandemic. All to take action towards my dreams. It was tough. And it was rewarding. I birthed my baby at home, with my partner holding me, literally.

Entering motherhood was everything and nothing like I imagined. It’s pushed me beyond any emotional capacity I’ve ever been asked to experience. I’ve been on my knees sobbing on the bathroom floor not believing I could get up again. And I’ve been bursting with so much joy I thought my cheeks would explode.

Motherhood is one of the most courageous acts. I’m here to take your hand and show you back to your place of safety and strength, so you can fully expand into this season of life. So you can live your most joyful life and feel your most vibrant self.”

She’s the author of Freedom from Busy and has written for and been featured in publications such as Forbes.com and Breathe and is on a mission for Mamas to reclaim this powerful season of life and live in their fullness. Danielle currently lives in Sydney with her daughter and partner, dreaming up the next adventure for their family.
