Nesting Space
Nesting Space is a dedicated private mental health occupational therapy practice specialising in perinatal services. We are committed to nurturing and supporting the mental well-being of birthing parents and enriching the lives of their families throughout pregnancy, childbirth, and the early stages of parenthood.
Hi I’m Juliette, I’m a mum and with nearly a decade of experience as a Mental Health Occupational Therapist, I am deeply passionate about my work. I have firsthand experience with the challenges of navigating mental health struggles during pregnancy and the postnatal period. Having personally faced the isolation of postnatal anxiety, rage, and depression following a traumatic birth, I understand the profound impact that seeking help early can have. This realisation inspired me to establish Nesting Space, as I recognized the vital role an Occupational Therapist can play in supporting women and their families during the antenatal and postnatal periods.
Becoming a mother was a transformative experience for me—physically, psychologically, emotionally, socially, and spiritually. The discovery of matrescence, the transition into motherhood, solidified my calling to this field. I deeply understand the ambivalence that can accompany motherhood and the neurocognitive changes that occur after pregnancy and birth.

Tapestry of Life Midwife
Lauren is an Endorsed Private Practice Midwife with an excellent reputation in Brisbane for supporting women and families as they journey to—and through—one of life’s most transformative transitions. She works with a whole-family approach, preparing parents not only for pregnancy and birth but also for the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual shifts that come with parenthood and welcoming a new baby.
As a First 1000 Days advocate and nervous system-certified practitioner, Lauren is passionate about equipping families with the tools to build healthy bonds and secure attachments, promoting positive early childhood experiences. This critical period lays the foundation for healthy infant brain development and long-term emotional wellbeing. Lauren empowers parents to connect with their own intuition rather than looking outside themselves for answers.
Lauren provides a variety of Medicare-rebatable appointment types, including:
Pregnancy care for women alongside their chosen care provider – whether booked to birth through the public system or a private maternity hospital. Lauren is a strong advocate for collaborative models of care and can offer:
Shared care with private obstetricians across two clinics in Brisbane
Support as part of your care team alongside GPs or hospital clinics
Birth Mapping appointments – helping you explore your preferences and decision points along the way
Routine postnatal care – including mother and baby checks, breastfeeding support, perinatal wellbeing, and birth debriefing
Postnatal in-home care packages – servicing inner north Brisbane and surrounds
Baby Massage education – 1:1 sessions or private small groups for three or more friends
Closing the Bones Ceremony – a deeply nurturing postpartum ritual rooted in traditional cultural practices, used to honour and support the profound transition into motherhood
In addition, Lauren offers ‘Mothering the Midwife’ Retreats, designed to support the wellbeing of those who hold this professional responsibility. These one-day retreats are created for nurses and midwives to reset their nervous systems, reconnect with themselves, and maintain balance to help prevent compassion fatigue and burnout.

Danielle Brooker, Joy Activation Coach
Danielle Brooker is a Mama, Joy Activation Coach, writer, avid self-help reader, lover of travel, adventure and exceptional coffee. Through her private coaching programs, digital courses, Mama Joy Summit, writing and podcast, Danielle teaches ambitious, busy and always-on Mamas ‘in the thick of it’ to move from the mess to the magic of this season of life.
Her signature program BEYOND focuses on the ‘forgotten season’ of motherhood, teaching Mamas to put core foundations in place to support their thriving well beyond the traditional ‘postpartum’ period. Danielle works intuitively, blending a foundation in human behaviour, neuroplasticity-based coaching and strategy, with somatic principles, emotional context work and soul practices. She shares, “I moved across the world to a new city, 6 months pregnant, in the middle of a global pandemic. All to take action towards my dreams. It was tough. And it was rewarding. I birthed my baby at home, with my partner holding me, literally.
Entering motherhood was everything and nothing like I imagined. It’s pushed me beyond any emotional capacity I’ve ever been asked to experience. I’ve been on my knees sobbing on the bathroom floor not believing I could get up again. And I’ve been bursting with so much joy I thought my cheeks would explode.
Motherhood is one of the most courageous acts. I’m here to take your hand and show you back to your place of safety and strength, so you can fully expand into this season of life. So you can live your most joyful life and feel your most vibrant self.”
She’s the author of Freedom from Busy and has written for and been featured in publications such as Forbes.com and Breathe and is on a mission for Mamas to reclaim this powerful season of life and live in their fullness. Danielle currently lives in Sydney with her daughter and partner, dreaming up the next adventure for their family.

Sing High Sing Low
Sing High Sing Low – Singing for Mums & Bubs With Fiona Maria – Singing Facilitator, hearted-centred Community Builder
When was the last time you felt nourished and held?
Hi, I’m Fiona Maria, founder of Sing High Sing Low. I offer gentle, joyful singing spaces where women of all life stages can simply be. No pressure, no performance—just breath, song, and connection.
My Women’s Singing Circles run in Summer Hill, Bondi, and coming to Crows Nest in September. These are not your usual mothers’ groups. We gather in calm, welcoming spaces to sing simple songs learned by ear—soothing, repetitive melodies that settle the nervous system and invite us home to ourselves. We layer up some harmonies as the mood of the day takes us. Shy singers, “non singers” and karaoke divas are all welcome!
Together we (re) connect to our voices and ourselves.
How it’s different to other “mums & bubs” groups
Many baby classes focus on entertaining your child. This is different. These sessions nourish you, the mother, the woman. When you’re calm, connected, and resourced, everyone benefits. You’ll leave feeling lighter, more grounded, and able to manage what life throws at us.
Women’s Singing Circle is open to women of all life stages—because we know it takes a village, but we don’t always know where to find one!
Why Singing with Your Baby Matters
Long before language, babies are wired to respond to your voice. Singing regulates their heart rate, lowers stress, and builds secure attachment.
And it helps you too—singing reduces anxiety, lifts your mood, and brings a deep sense of connection.
This is not a performance. It’s a practice—one that is a timeless part of the human experience. For generations, mothers sang to soothe their children, mark daily rhythms, and build community. But in our modern world, this shared singing culture has been lost. I’m here to help bring it back.
A Little About Me
I’ve spent over 20 years singing, performing, and facilitating voice work in community and workplace settings. As a trained Singing Mamas leader, I bring a model rooted in care, inclusion, and the science of sound and wellbeing.
You’re warmly invited. Come with little ones—or just as you are.

Mums in Bloom
Hi, I’m Mandy — a registered perinatal psychologist, mum of three (including a new baby born in 2025), and the founder of Mums in Bloom.
I support pregnant and new mothers who are finding this season more emotional, confusing, or isolating than they expected. If you’ve ever thought, “I love my baby, but I feel like I’m falling apart,” you are exactly who I support — and you are not alone.
With over a decade of experience in psychology, my work focuses on the real inner world of motherhood — the mental load, identity shifts, emotional ups and downs, and pressure to do it all “right.” I bring both my professional background and personal lived experience to create a space where you feel seen, validated, and supported.
At Mums in Bloom, I offer gentle resources for both pregnancy and postpartum, including:
🌸 Free guides for third trimester prep and those “not-what-I-expected” early weeks
🌸 Low-cost seminars on body image and postnatal mental health
🌸 A beautifully supportive 8-week online program for first-time mums in the first 6–8 months postpartum
🌸 A mini guide for partners to help them show up, step in, and stay connected during this major life transition
Whether you’re feeling anxious, flat, overwhelmed, or just unsure who you are anymore, I’m here to walk alongside you. My support is gentle, practical, and free of judgment — like chatting with a mum-friend who gets it, but with the expertise to back it up.
I believe motherhood was never meant to be done alone. Let’s make sure you don’t have to.
I am a Member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and fully registered with AHPRA.

Align with Alice
Hi, I’m Alice and I help women step off the emotional rollercoaster and become the mothers they want to be.
Combining my experience as a Midwife, Fertility Nurse, Maternal and Child Health Nurse, Rapid Transformational Therapy (RTT) Practitioner and Hypnotherapist, my holistic approach integrates my professional experience with my gentle and intuitive nature.
Whether you are navigating the complexities of your fertility, experiencing fear or worry about pregnancy or birth or feeling lost in the early parenting years… I am here to support you on your journey. Because when so much of this journey can feel out of your control, I can help you take control over your mindset, your thoughts and the lens through which you see and experience motherhood.
By working with the subconscious mind, I can help you get ‘unstuck’ from any limiting beliefs that are holding you back, so that you can move forward in your next chapter feeling empowered, confident, optimistic and clear on your path forward.
What is RTT?
RTT uniquely blends principles of hypnotherapy, psychotherapy, neurolinguistic programming, cognitive behavioural therapy, neuroscience and neuroplasticity to deliver fast, effective and long-lasting results. Ultimately RTT aims to get to the root cause of the ‘problem’ you’re experiencing, identify any subconscious blocks or limiting beliefs and clear these so that you can move forward with new, positive and supportive beliefs that align with your vision for motherhood. This process doesn’t just change how you think, it changes what you believe about yourself, how you feel, how you behave and how you experience the world.
If you have questions about whether RTT is suitable for you or how I could help, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I offer complimentary calls and I’m always more than happy to answer questions.

Motherscape
My name is Mel! I’m an experienced Occupational Therapist and founder of Motherscape. My aim is to support women, new mothers and parents by helping establish healthy routines, personalised interventions and adaptations tailored to your individual situation. At Motherscape we support women’s health across their lifespan and ensure that you feel informed and connected. We provide you with a secure point of reference and together we jointly develop tools and resources for you to use in the future. By carefully developing an anchor like this, any challenging times you might encounter along the way, are easier to navigate through.
The transition to motherhood or ‘matrescence’ brings with it significant life changes. Yet at this challenging time, culturally we tend to focus our attention on the new baby, rather than the physical and psychological needs of the mother. However many families are struggling alone through what should be one of the most joyful times in their lives. The individual needs of the mother then, as well as those of the family as a whole, are frequently not being addressed.
‘Motherscape’ came about as I wanted to create a meaningful impact on the landscape of each individual and their family. The experience of being a mother, as well as managing other significant life stages such as perimenopause & menopause, can bring with it vast and ever-changing terrain. Each woman navigates their own unique landscape encountering peaks of joy, valleys of exhaustion and many winding roads of change and growth. Just like no person is the same, I don’t feel that every approach should be the same either.
Motherscape is guided by evidence, and the individual needs of each woman, and their family. I have carried out research into women’s health and this has helped guide best practice. These are consistently being reviewed, and we strive to build strong networks to ensure that you receive the best support possible! Consistent, reliable, sensitive and thoughtful.
It would be an honour to support you throughout your unique journey; every step of the way!

The Growth Room
Hi, I am Angelina — a Clinical Perinatal Psychologist, HypnoBirthing Practitioner and Matrescence Educator. With a passion for women’s health and perinatal psychology, I recognise the perinatal period—from preconception through to parenthood—as a time filled with both immense wonder and incredible challenges.
I founded The Growth Room, a space inspired by my own transformative journey into motherhood, including my second pregnancy during the COVID-19 pandemic. My personal experiences of navigating motherhood, particularly in the face of isolation and uncertainty, deepened my understanding of the holistic support women need during this life stage. As a result, The Growth Room focuses on providing education, nurturing, and mental health support for women navigating the profound physical, emotional, and psychological changes of pregnancy and motherhood.
In addition to psychological therapy for women in the perinatal period, in which I adopt a strengths-based, collaborative therapeutic approach, The Growth Room also offers childbirth education through HypnoBirthing courses. These courses help expectant mothers and their partners feel empowered and prepared for birth through relaxation techniques, guided visualisations, and education.
The Growth Room focuses on acknowledging the emotional, mental, and physical changes that occur during pregnancy, birth, and motherhood, creating a nurturing environment where women can access both therapeutic support and practical tools like HypnoBirthing to foster a supported transition to motherhood.
At The Growth Room we are passionate about creating a therapeutic space where women can feel empowered, reflect on their experiences, and grow in confidence as they navigate pregnancy, birth and motherhood.

Rad Parents
Hi, I’m Claire! I’m a perinatal counsellor, parenting cheerleader and mother. I’ve worked with hundreds of parents struggling in silence and it’s my mission to make early parenthood way more fun and way less sh*t.
I understand how it feels to doubt yourself, as a parent, and to struggle mentally, feeling like you’ve lost yourself. I’ve been there too.
Through compassionate counselling or birth debriefing, I can help you work through the ups and downs of life as a parent, and find heaps more confidence and self-compassion.
I also run an epic postpartum preparation and support program called Beyond Birth, and offer evidence-based, holistic parenting support once your little one arrives.
I believe parenting is too difficult and too beautiful to do alone. I’d be honoured to be part of your village of support.

Brisbane Grief Counselling
Hi, I’m Amy, I am a specialist grief counsellor and I work with women and families facing losses (death-related and non-death-related losses across the lifespan).
Something has happened and you are now trying to pick up the pieces. Grief is often a lonely journey and can feel all consuming. Whether you are trying to start or grow your family, adjusting to pregnancy or early parenting challenges, navigating pregnancy or parenting after loss, or figuring out how to ‘be you’ and still parent in a way that feels congruent to your life values, I am here to hold space for these conversations.
Matrescence is the transition we make from maiden to mother, likened to adolescence, and it is a transition of mind, body, soul and spirit.
As a therapist in this space, I walk alongside you as a companion while you navigate the complexity and challenges of living with loss. Together we create a safe space for your experience to be witnessed, for you to tell the truth about your grief, to be seen and heard without judgment.
You do not have to do this journey alone.

LA Therapy
Hi, I’m Lauren! I’m a Registered Music Therapist and trained Neonatal Intensive Care Music Therapist, passionate about walking alongside families through the joys and challenges of early parenthood.
After working in acute paediatrics, NICU and infant programs, I founded LA Therapy to provide warm, family-centred music therapy for infants, parents and caregivers during the perinatal period and beyond. My work is all about using music as a tool for connection, confidence and wellbeing – whether that’s helping a baby feel safe and calm, supporting bonding, easing ongoing hospital experiences, or giving parents space to breathe, process and feel supported.
At LA Therapy, I offer:
Individual supports – Tailored sessions for babies, parents, or the whole family, focusing on development, parent-infant attachment, NICU/SCN transitions, emotional wellbeing, and perinatal mental health. Music can become part of everyday routines – from sleep and settling to play and exploration – making life feel a little lighter and more connected.
Group programs – Come together with other families in a supportive, welcoming space.
- Connect & Bloom – A music group especially for families who’ve experienced a NICU or SCN admission.
- Mini & Me Melodies – A playful music and bonding group for parents and babies (0–12 months).
Whether you’re navigating pregnancy, adjusting after birth, or supporting your little one’s growth, my aim is to create a safe, nurturing space where music helps you and your baby thrive.

Supporting tired parents to make kind, attachment-focused changes to their baby’s sleep, WITHOUT sleep training.
Hi, I’m Katie, a Registered Midwife with over 25 years of clinical experience and a background in home birth. I’m also a certified OCN Level 6 holistic infant sleep coach and mum to four teenagers.
After breastfeeding, co-sleeping, baby-wearing and surviving endless night wakes with my own children, I discovered something important: families don’t have to choose between ignoring their instincts or staying up all night forever. There is a gentle middle ground, and that’s exactly what I offer through Katie’s Babies.
I’m based in Melbourne, Australia, and while I offer in-home support locally, most of my work is conducted online. That means I can support families anywhere in the world. My approach blends evidence, intuition and deep respect, helping you create a rhythm that works for your baby and your life, without ever resorting to cry-it-out or forceful routines.
How I can help
Whether you’re contact-napping with a 4-month-old or wrestling with a strong-willed toddler at bedtime, I’m here to guide you towards your goals while preserving connection every step of the way.
- Helping you understand what’s biologically normal in infant and toddler sleep
- Reassuring you that feeding to sleep, contact naps, co-sleeping and floor beds are not ‘bad habits’, they’re instinctive and valid, but it’s ok to make changes if you want to.
- Offering realistic, respectful strategies that protect emotional safety and strengthen bonds
Families often tell me they appreciate my slow, steady, step-by-step approach, designed to avoid tears wherever possible. I build confidence gently, with connection and encouragement, never through pressure or detachment.
Many of my values are grounded in Montessori principles and Aware Parenting theories.
My goal is always to help you find a path that feels sustainable, respectful and aligned with your parenting values, while making life a little easier along the way. Sleep doesn’t have to be a battle, and you don’t have to figure it out alone.

Grief Guide
Becoming a mother is one of life’s most profound transformations, yet it can also bring unexpected losses and grief that few people talk about openly. If you’re navigating the complex emotions of early motherhood, whether it’s grieving your pre-baby life, processing a difficult birth experience, or working through perinatal loss, Ali understands, and she’s here to support you.
Ali is a Registered Counsellor and Accredited Supervisor who has dedicated over a decade to helping people of all ages work through grief, loss, and life’s most challenging transitions. Her extensive experience spans oncology, palliative care, perinatal support, family changes, and supporting those affected by sudden and traumatic losses. What makes Ali particularly valuable for new mothers is her deep understanding that grief isn’t just about death—it encompasses all the losses we experience as we move through life’s changes.
With a Bachelor of Health Science (Psychology) from the University of Sydney and a Master of Counselling from the University of Queensland, Ali brings both professional expertise and genuine warmth to her practice. As a Level 4 registered counsellor with the Australian Counselling Association and an Accredited Supervisor under the Rise Up Model, she’s committed to the highest standards of care.
Ali specialises in helping clients recognise and honour all types of loss, from perinatal loss and fertility challenges to the grief that can come with chronic health issues, relationship changes, or simply mourning the person you were before becoming a mother. She believes our culture struggles with grief, and she’s passionate about changing that narrative, especially for women navigating motherhood. Using evidence based approaches including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy, and Neuropsychotherapy, Ali creates a safe, client-centred space that honours your strengths while acknowledging your pain. Her trauma-informed approach recognises that your experiences are valid and that healing happens at your own pace.
Whether you’re processing birth trauma, struggling with the identity shift of new motherhood, or grieving any of the many losses that can accompany this life stage, Ali offers the understanding, expertise, and compassionate support you deserve during this pivotal time in your life.
