The Latch Lady
Feeding

The Latch Lady

Hi, I’m Georgie, a mum, midwife, lactation consultant (IBCLC), child and family health nurse, and the heart behind The Latch Lady. I know firsthand how joyful, overwhelming, beautiful and messy early parenthood can be, because I’ve lived it too. My daughter Poppy was born in 2024, and even with all my professional experience, breastfeeding didn’t come easy. That journey deepened my compassion, and reaffirmed my belief that every parent deserves individualised, evidence-based, and deeply kind support.

At The Latch Lady, I offer one-on-one breastfeeding consultations in your home or in clinic, as well as prenatal breastfeeding education sessions for expectant parents. I also support families navigating newborn care, feeding challenges, sleep, and the emotional highs and lows of early parenthood.

My approach is inclusive, judgment-free and grounded in real-life experience. Whether you’re preparing to breastfeed, feeling unsure in those early weeks, or needing support with things like mastitis, pumping, mixed feeding or weaning, I’m here to walk alongside you.

I work with families in Sydney and offer personalised care that’s led by you, your values, your goals, your baby. You won’t get a one-size-fits-all answer from me, and I’ll never tell you there’s only one “right” way. What you will get is warmth, clinical expertise, and someone cheering you on.

You can learn more or book a visit via my website or Instagram @thelatchlady_. I’m so honoured to be part of the Not Another Onesie village, and I can’t wait to support you in yours.

Tapestry of Life Midwife

Lauren is an Endorsed Private Practice Midwife with an excellent reputation in Brisbane for supporting women and families as they journey to—and through—one of life’s most transformative transitions. She works with a whole-family approach, preparing parents not only for pregnancy and birth but also for the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual shifts that come with parenthood and welcoming a new baby.

As a First 1000 Days advocate and nervous system-certified practitioner, Lauren is passionate about equipping families with the tools to build healthy bonds and secure attachments, promoting positive early childhood experiences. This critical period lays the foundation for healthy infant brain development and long-term emotional wellbeing. Lauren empowers parents to connect with their own intuition rather than looking outside themselves for answers.

Lauren provides a variety of Medicare-rebatable appointment types, including:

  • Pregnancy care for women alongside their chosen care provider – whether booked to birth through the public system or a private maternity hospital. Lauren is a strong advocate for collaborative models of care and can offer:

    • Shared care with private obstetricians across two clinics in Brisbane

    • Support as part of your care team alongside GPs or hospital clinics

  • Birth Mapping appointments – helping you explore your preferences and decision points along the way

  • Routine postnatal care – including mother and baby checks, breastfeeding support, perinatal wellbeing, and birth debriefing

  • Postnatal in-home care packages – servicing inner north Brisbane and surrounds

  • Baby Massage education – 1:1 sessions or private small groups for three or more friends

  • Closing the Bones Ceremony – a deeply nurturing postpartum ritual rooted in traditional cultural practices, used to honour and support the profound transition into motherhood

In addition, Lauren offers ‘Mothering the Midwife’ Retreats, designed to support the wellbeing of those who hold this professional responsibility. These one-day retreats are created for nurses and midwives to reset their nervous systems, reconnect with themselves, and maintain balance to help prevent compassion fatigue and burnout.

Motherscape

My name is Mel! I’m an experienced Occupational Therapist and founder of Motherscape. My aim is to support women, new mothers and parents by helping establish healthy routines, personalised interventions and adaptations tailored to your individual situation. At Motherscape we support women’s health across their lifespan and ensure that you feel informed and connected. We provide you with a secure point of reference and together we jointly develop tools and resources for you to use in the future. By carefully developing an anchor like this, any challenging times you might encounter along the way, are easier to navigate through.

The transition to motherhood or ‘matrescence’ brings with it significant life changes. Yet at this challenging time, culturally we tend to focus our attention on the new baby, rather than the physical and psychological needs of the mother. However many families are struggling alone through what should be one of the most joyful times in their lives. The individual needs of the mother then, as well as those of the family as a whole, are frequently not being addressed.

‘Motherscape’ came about as I wanted to create a meaningful impact on the landscape of each individual and their family. The experience of being a mother, as well as managing other significant life stages such as perimenopause & menopause, can bring with it vast and ever-changing terrain. Each woman navigates their own unique landscape encountering peaks of joy, valleys of exhaustion and many winding roads of change and growth. Just like no person is the same, I don’t feel that every approach should be the same either.

Motherscape is guided by evidence, and the individual needs of each woman, and their family. I have carried out research into women’s health and this has helped guide best practice. These are consistently being reviewed, and we strive to build strong networks to ensure that you receive the best support possible! Consistent, reliable, sensitive and thoughtful.

It would be an honour to support you throughout your unique journey; every step of the way!

She supports clients navigating:

Pregnancy and Birth

  • Managing antenatal and postnatal anxiety or depression

  • Recovering emotionally from a difficult or traumatic birth

Postnatal Identity & Adjustment

  • Finding your footing in the early stages of parenthood (matrescence)
  • Reconnecting with who you are outside of motherhood
  • Adjusting to new roles, expectations, and daily rhythms
  • Struggling with body image or pressure to ‘bounce back’
  • Realigning with your core values in this new season of life

Parenting & Connection

  • Strengthening your bond and emotional connection with your baby
  • Tuning in to your child’s needs while learning to trust your instincts
  • Exploring feelings of frustration, anger, or “mum rage”

Relationships, Roles & Boundaries

  • Navigating shifts in your relationship or co-parenting dynamic
  • Setting boundaries to protect your wellbeing and your child’s
  • Preparing for or settling back into paid work after leave

Ana knows what it’s like to be in the thick of it – she’s navigated many of the same struggles that you might be experiencing right now. Her style is warm, thoughtful, and collaborative. She works from the belief that you are the expert in your own life, and that therapy is a space for curiosity, reflection, and renewal. Her approach integrates attachment theory, trauma-informed care, and evidence-based therapeutic frameworks – all held within a safe and supportive relationship.

Whether you’re preparing for pregnancy, navigating the early postpartum haze, or simply wondering where you went in all of this – Ana offers a space to gently land, reflect, and begin to feel more like yourself again.

At MIWM we provide general and specialist women’s and children’s medical consultations, classes, allied therapies and complementary services to ensure that women and families receive exceptional care in a safe and nurturing environment.

“We are leading the way in healthcare innovation with our first of it’s kind Day Stay Experience”.

This 7 hour stay is designed to give mother’s the confidence to feed and settle their babies in a way that meets their own unique parenting goals. We support mental health and postpartum wellbeing by providing a mother’s helper for the day and every mum has a luxurious day spa treatment included in their package.  Babies are treated to a divine sensory class and mum’s get to choose from a sleep and settling consult, and osteo consult or a baby carrying consult and they will have all feeds supervised by Breastfeeding Medicine and Infant sleep expert, Dr. Amber Hart.

We also offer Australia’s only GTT experience.

During pregnancy, it is recommended that women undergo screening for Gestational Diabetes.  Historically, this test has been dreaded by mum, but we’ve now made it something to look forward to.

Mums arrive fasted and have their blood tests taken by one of our experienced staff members.  They are then treated to an hour of rest in our divine relaxation room and an hour day spa treatment.  This service is seeing an increased uptake in screening and also promoting antenatal and postnatal wellbeing by linking women in with exceptional quality pregnancy and post-natal services.  As such, we are focusing on prevention rather than cure.”

Sing High Sing Low

Sing High Sing Low – Singing for Mums & Bubs With Fiona Maria – Singing Facilitator, hearted-centred Community Builder

When was the last time you felt nourished and held?

Hi, I’m Fiona Maria, founder of Sing High Sing Low. I offer gentle, joyful singing spaces where women of all life stages can simply be. No pressure, no performance—just breath, song, and connection.

My Women’s Singing Circles run in Summer Hill, Bondi, and coming to Crows Nest in September. These are not your usual mothers’ groups. We gather in calm, welcoming spaces to sing simple songs learned by ear—soothing, repetitive melodies that settle the nervous system and invite us home to ourselves. We layer up some harmonies as the mood of the day takes us. Shy singers, “non singers” and karaoke divas are all welcome!

Together we (re) connect to our voices and ourselves.

How it’s different to other “mums & bubs” groups

Many baby classes focus on entertaining your child. This is different. These sessions nourish you, the mother, the woman. When you’re calm, connected, and resourced, everyone benefits. You’ll leave feeling lighter, more grounded, and able to manage what life throws at us.

Women’s Singing Circle is open to women of all life stages—because we know it takes a village, but we don’t always know where to find one!

Why Singing with Your Baby Matters

Long before language, babies are wired to respond to your voice. Singing regulates their heart rate, lowers stress, and builds secure attachment.

And it helps you too—singing reduces anxiety, lifts your mood, and brings a deep sense of connection.

This is not a performance. It’s a practice—one that is a timeless part of the human experience. For generations, mothers sang to soothe their children, mark daily rhythms, and build community. But in our modern world, this shared singing culture has been lost. I’m here to help bring it back.

A Little About Me

I’ve spent over 20 years singing, performing, and facilitating voice work in community and workplace settings. As a trained Singing Mamas leader, I bring a model rooted in care, inclusion, and the science of sound and wellbeing.

You’re warmly invited. Come with little ones—or just as you are.

Node Mothers

Node Mothers and the Node Motherhood Centre were created with one big goal in mind to support mums, not just motherhood.

Founded by Melissa Decarli a mum, photographer, and someone who’s walked the highs and lows of matrescence, Node began as a simple idea: what if mothers’ groups were less about milestone checklists and more about real connection, honest chats, and feeling seen.

Since then, it’s grown into a beautiful community of women who meet weekly across Ballarat (and online), not just to talk about their babies, but to talk about themselves. Whether it’s a new mum with a six-week-old or a second-time mum with a busy toddler in tow, our groups and sessions focus on the woman behind the role.

The Node Motherhood Centre is a warm, welcoming space built for mums to take a breath and be held. We run 10-week mothers’ groups, toddler groups, workshops, and events, always with a focus on connection, community, and gentle encouragement to be exactly who you are that day.

Melissa brings a real, lived-in understanding of what it means to hold so much at once; motherhood, identity, relationships, business, and the in-between. Through her photography business Her Golden Point, she’s had the privilege of capturing thousands of motherhood moments and those honest, tender connections are at the heart of everything she creates with Node.

We’re not here to tell mums what to do. We’re here to walk alongside them. We talk about the messy middle of motherhood, the beautiful chaos, the doubts, the growth and we do it with humour, heart, and a whole lot of love.

If you’re a brand wanting to connect with mothers in a way that truly resonates, Node offers direct access to a trusted, engaged, and emotionally connected audience. We speak with and support our mums every week, and everything we do is built on trust, relatability, and genuine care.

At Node, we don’t just support mums – we see them. And that’s where real impact begins.

Emergcare: Empowering Families with Life-Saving Knowledge

At Emergcare, we understand that the birth of a baby marks the beginning of a parent’s journey. Our approach to first aid education goes beyond just teaching life-saving skills — it’s about supporting families during their transition to parenthood and helping them build their village of support. Our mission is to provide every family with essential first aid education, ensuring they have the knowledge and confidence to act in emergencies. We envision a community where all parents have the skills to respond to emergencies and the resources to support their mental health and wellbeing.

Our Mission

As health professionals and paramedics, we believe CPR and first aid are lifesaving skills that should be accessible to all. We collaborate to educate families and communities on preventing, identifying, and responding effectively to a wide range of illnesses, injuries, and emergencies. Our goal is to create safer communities by empowering individuals with the confidence to respond in critical moments, especially while waiting for medical help. Immediate care in those first minutes can save lives.

Our Services

We offer a range of evidence-based, high-quality first aid courses, including our Perinatal First Aid Course, designed specifically for new and expecting parents. Alongside essential training in childhood injury prevention, paediatric first aid, and child and newborn CPR, this course also offers tools to support your emotional wellbeing.

Through education and evidence-based resources, you’ll gain practical tools to build support networks and care for your mental and emotional health during pregnancy and early parenthood. This holistic approach ensures that parents are equipped to care for their child while also nurturing their own wellbeing.

Our training is based on the latest guidelines from the Australian Resuscitation Council and Australian Children’s Hospital, ensuring practical and up-to-date education.

Hendrik Gutwirth & Daniel Parks

As Co-Directors of Emergcare, Hendrik and Daniel bring over 30 years of combined clinical experience as Registered Advanced Life Support (ALS) Paramedics. Hendrik has contributed to research, led workshops, and served in various clinical instructor roles, while Daniel’s experience spans both metropolitan and rural areas across Queensland and Victoria.

Together with their team, they are committed to empowering families with the practical first aid knowledge they need to feel confident and secure.

Hendrik Gutwirth is a Registered Advanced Life Support (ALS) Paramedic with over 15 years of clinical experience, as well as a Master’s degree in Exercise Science (Strength and Conditioning). His unique combination of expertise in both paramedicine and exercise science allows him to offer a comprehensive approach to first aid education, with a particular focus on CPR training and rescuer wellbeing. In addition to his research, Hendrik has published journal articles both in Australia and internationally, contributing valuable insights into CPR techniques and rescuer fatigue. He has also facilitated numerous professional development workshops and served in various clinical instructor and paramedic educator roles. His extensive knowledge and real-world experience enable him to empower parents and caregivers with the life-saving skills they need to act confidently in emergencies.

Together with his co-director, Daniel Parks, Hendrik ensures that Emergcare’s courses are grounded in evidence-based practices, adhering to the latest guidelines from the Australian Resuscitation Council and Australian Children’s Hospital. Daniel, with his diverse experience in both metropolitan and rural paramedicine, complements Hendrik’s expertise, bringing a well-rounded perspective to their training approach. As fathers themselves, both Hendrik and Daniel are deeply committed to supporting families through practical first aid education, ensuring they have the skills and confidence to protect their loved ones. Emergcare was also honored with the Partnership Impact Award for 2024 by Kidsafe Victoria, in recognition of its significant contributions to the community and commitment to delivering high-quality first aid education.

These partnerships help ensure our training meets the highest standards and that we remain at the forefront of first aid education.

Align with Alice

Hi, I’m Alice and I help women step off the emotional rollercoaster and become the mothers they want to be.

Combining my experience as a Midwife, Fertility Nurse, Maternal and Child Health Nurse, Rapid Transformational Therapy (RTT) Practitioner and Hypnotherapist, my holistic approach integrates my professional experience with my gentle and intuitive nature.

Whether you are navigating the complexities of your fertility, experiencing fear or worry about pregnancy or birth or feeling lost in the early parenting years… I am here to support you on your journey. Because when so much of this journey can feel out of your control, I can help you take control over your mindset, your thoughts and the lens through which you see and experience motherhood.

By working with the subconscious mind, I can help you get ‘unstuck’ from any limiting beliefs that are holding you back, so that you can move forward in your next chapter feeling empowered, confident, optimistic and clear on your path forward.

What is RTT?

RTT uniquely blends principles of hypnotherapy, psychotherapy, neurolinguistic programming, cognitive behavioural therapy, neuroscience and neuroplasticity to deliver fast, effective and long-lasting results. Ultimately RTT aims to get to the root cause of the ‘problem’ you’re experiencing, identify any subconscious blocks or limiting beliefs and clear these so that you can move forward with new, positive and supportive beliefs that align with your vision for motherhood. This process doesn’t just change how you think, it changes what you believe about yourself, how you feel, how you behave and how you experience the world.

If you have questions about whether RTT is suitable for you or how I could help, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I offer complimentary calls and I’m always more than happy to answer questions.

Nourishy

Hi, I’m Cass — a mum of three and the founder of Nourishy. Like many mums, I know firsthand the challenges of expressing breast milk, navigating returning to work, travelling with a frozen stash, or simply wanting to make sure every drop of our “liquid gold” is used. That’s why I created Nourishy: to give families a safe, science-backed way to preserve their breast milk for the long term.

Nourishy is Australia’s first freeze-drying service for personal breast milk. We gently freeze-dry your milk at our medical-grade facility, turning it into a shelf-stable powder that lasts up to 3 years — no fridge or freezer needed. It’s convenient, travel-friendly, and perfect for shared feeding, daycare, and those “just in case” moments.

We’ve completed over 3,000 shipments across Australia, all arriving safely at our Brisbane facility— a testament to the robust process and care we take with every order. Each mum’s milk is handled individually and with the highest level of safety and attention — because we know how precious it is.

Whether you’re heading back to work, your freezer’s overflowing, or you’re building an emergency stash, we’re here to help you keep giving your baby your breast milk.

We’ve also partnered with the incredible team at Mother’s Milk Bank Charity to help freeze dry donor milk across Australia.

We are the offical partner to Milkify in the US. At Nourishy, it’s not just about preserving breast milk — it’s about supporting you on your feeding journey and creating peace of mind, one pouch at a time.

The Growth Room

Hi, I am Angelina — a Clinical Perinatal Psychologist, HypnoBirthing Practitioner and Matrescence Educator. With a passion for women’s health and perinatal psychology, I recognise the perinatal period—from preconception through to parenthood—as a time filled with both immense wonder and incredible challenges.

I founded The Growth Room, a space inspired by my own transformative journey into motherhood, including my second pregnancy during the COVID-19 pandemic. My personal experiences of navigating motherhood, particularly in the face of isolation and uncertainty, deepened my understanding of the holistic support women need during this life stage. As a result, The Growth Room focuses on providing education, nurturing, and mental health support for women navigating the profound physical, emotional, and psychological changes of pregnancy and motherhood.

In addition to psychological therapy for women in the perinatal period, in which I adopt a strengths-based, collaborative therapeutic approach, The Growth Room also offers childbirth education through HypnoBirthing courses. These courses help expectant mothers and their partners feel empowered and prepared for birth through relaxation techniques, guided visualisations, and education.

The Growth Room focuses on acknowledging the emotional, mental, and physical changes that occur during pregnancy, birth, and motherhood, creating a nurturing environment where women can access both therapeutic support and practical tools like HypnoBirthing to foster a supported transition to motherhood.

At The Growth Room we are passionate about creating a therapeutic space where women can feel empowered, reflect on their experiences, and grow in confidence as they navigate pregnancy, birth and motherhood.

Danielle Brooker, Joy Activation Coach

Danielle Brooker is a Mama, Joy Activation Coach, writer, avid self-help reader, lover of travel, adventure and exceptional coffee. Through her private coaching programs, digital courses, Mama Joy Summit, writing and podcast, Danielle teaches ambitious, busy and always-on Mamas ‘in the thick of it’ to move from the mess to the magic of this season of life.

Her signature program BEYOND focuses on the ‘forgotten season’ of motherhood, teaching Mamas to put core foundations in place to support their thriving well beyond the traditional ‘postpartum’ period. Danielle works intuitively, blending a foundation in human behaviour, neuroplasticity-based coaching and strategy, with somatic principles, emotional context work and soul practices. She shares, “I moved across the world to a new city, 6 months pregnant, in the middle of a global pandemic. All to take action towards my dreams. It was tough. And it was rewarding. I birthed my baby at home, with my partner holding me, literally.

Entering motherhood was everything and nothing like I imagined. It’s pushed me beyond any emotional capacity I’ve ever been asked to experience. I’ve been on my knees sobbing on the bathroom floor not believing I could get up again. And I’ve been bursting with so much joy I thought my cheeks would explode.

Motherhood is one of the most courageous acts. I’m here to take your hand and show you back to your place of safety and strength, so you can fully expand into this season of life. So you can live your most joyful life and feel your most vibrant self.”

She’s the author of Freedom from Busy and has written for and been featured in publications such as Forbes.com and Breathe and is on a mission for Mamas to reclaim this powerful season of life and live in their fullness. Danielle currently lives in Sydney with her daughter and partner, dreaming up the next adventure for their family.

The Motherhood journey is full of changes, emotions, joys, and challenges. As a Perinatal Psychologist, Lauren provides individual therapy to help you navigate the twists and turns and feel more confident along the way. She has compassion for the challenges you are encountering, along with a deep appreciation for the messiness of everyday parenting.

Lauren supports mothers and families experiencing challenges in adjusting to change, managing anxiety or depression, coping with grief or loss, navigating relationship difficulties, or bonding with their baby or child.

With over 15 years of experience in public and private mental health and education settings, Lauren’s approach to therapy is warm, down-to-earth, and non-judgmental. Lauren offers a space where you can reflect, process challenges, identify your strengths and deepen your self-understanding – helping you connect with your values and needs.

Lauren brings a developmental and relational perspective to therapy, utilising frameworks from attachment theory and advanced training in Circle of Security Parenting, to help you untangle your story and make sense of your thoughts, feelings, ways of relating, and experiences. In addition, she draws on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), mindfulness, somatic, and creative techniques offering support tailored to your unique needs and goals.

Babies are always welcome in sessions. Lauren also works closely with other practitioners to help you get the support you need.

In addition to individual therapy, Lauren enjoys facilitating parent education and wellbeing workshops and groups. She runs the Circle of Security Parenting (COSP) program to help strengthen parent-child relationships and Creative Journalling groups for Mothers, which introduce simple, creative journaling techniques to support positive mental health and well-being.

Lauren is a Mother of two, who loves reading and spending time in nature. It was her own entry into Motherhood that shifted her focus to supporting parents navigating the perinatal period and beyond.

For in-person support, you can find Lauren at Maternal and Infant Wellbeing Melbourne in Parkville, Victoria. Lauren also provides Australia-wide support via Telehealth.
